The provision of Firewall and Network Support to support existing hardware at the Health Research Board

The Health Research Board (HRB) is the lead agency in Ireland supporting and funding health research. We provide funding, maintain health information systems and conduct research linked to national health priorities. Our aim is to improve people's health, build health research capacity and make a significant contribution to Ireland's knowledge economy. Objectives of this tender are to have in place a Firewall and Network Support Contract to support existing hardware which reaches end of life in 2022. The support period has ended on the Checkpoint firewalls and needs to be renewed for 3 years. Both the network hardware and the firewall hardware are fit for purpose and reach end of life at the same time. No hardware procurement is necessary. A separate vendor is used for the buying of network hardware and 2nd line support on our Call Manager phone system and Cisco Unity Voicemail system.
