Tender description

To provide a fully embedded and managed service for the provision of flexible labour at the Royal Mint Site. For a more complete description see II.2.4) — NB only those companies who are suitably qualified and or are financially secure to cover weekly payments to the workforce should consider participating in this tender process. With over 1 100 years of history TRM is the sole manufacturer of circulating coins for the UK and the world’s largest exporting Mint supplying to over 60 different countries. Wholly owned by HM Treasury, TRM also produces commemorative coins, service medals and has a developing gold and silver bullion business all based on a 35 acre site in Llantrisant, South Wales. Employing 800 staff in addition to a temporary workforce numbering approximately 240, the TRM site operates 24/7/365 with manufacturing capacity of up to 5 000 000 000 coins and blanks each year. Due to the nature of our production processes, we are deemed a Top Tier COMAH (Control of Major Accidents and Hazards) site. In Spring 2016 TRM opened its doors to the public with a Visitor and Factory Experience which attracts up to 100 000 visitors per annum. As specified above, TRM have a temporary workforce numbering on average 240. This number does fluctuate during the course of the year with the number varying from approximately 200 to 270. Approximately 130 agency workers have been on assignment at TRM for more than 12 months. TRM is inviting organisations to participate in the tender process for the provision of flexible workforce solutions to TRM’s main operational site which consists of multiple buildings (‘TRM Main Site’) and, where relevant, to the visitor and Factory Experience and any other facility as may be directed by TRM. The successful supplier must provide a complete 24/7/365 on-site managed service managed by suitably qualified staff for the recruitment and management of experienced and qualified industrial and non-industrial temporary workers of ‘employed status’ with the successful applicant provider to a fast moving consumer goods (‘FMCG’) environment. TRM has a requirement for a complete managed service for the recruitment and management of experienced and qualified operational and non-operational flexible workers of ‘employed status’ with the provider based on the following range of roles required but is not limited to: — warehouse operatives, — forklift truck drivers, — production operators, — cleaners, — toolmakers, — electrical and mechanical engineers, — administrators, — customer service representatives,. — Royal Mint Visitor and Factory Experience tour guides and retail workers, — other potential skills
