Gloucestershire County Council are advertising this opportunity on behalf of Ubico Ltd (the Company). Ubico Ltd is a local authority owned Company set up to deliver environmental services to its primary shareholding Councils through service contracts. The current shareholders are Cheltenham Borough Council, Cotswold District Council, Tewkesbury Borough Council, West Oxfordshire District Council, Forest of Dean District Council, Stroud District Council and Gloucestershire County Council. Ubico operates out of a range of sites throughout Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. The Company currently runs and maintains a fleet of approximately 400 vehicles including plant and machinery on behalf of its shareholder authorities. The Company is also responsible for ensuring that all the vehicles, plant and machinery are operated in line with current laws and regulations. The supplier shall supply, deliver and fit the full range of tyres outlined in the pricing schedule and be in a position to supply the entire tyre requirements to the Company throughout the term of the contract period. The tyres are to be fitted to heavy commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles, plant machinery and equipment. The supplier shall supply, deliver and fit the full range of tyres outlined in the pricing schedule and be in a position to supply the entire tyre requirements to the Company throughout the term of the contract period. The supplier shall respond within 1 working day to requests for guidance, advice and detailed information about any aspect of the supply, delivery and fitting of tyres to be supplied and fitted under the contract. The supplier shall be able to provide an emergency roadside repair and replacement service as outlined under Section 7 of this document. The supplier shall provide a 60 minute call out/breakdown repair service to all Company locations and roadside breakdowns as per the operational response times table in the specification. The service is to be made available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Company operates primarily within the geographical areas of Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest of Dean, Stroud, Gloucestershire, Tewkesbury and West Oxfordshire boundaries, but the Company is not restricted to these areas; for example the Company has a number of grounds maintenance and cemetery contracts in neighbouring districts. The service is to be provided both within operational depots and for emergency call-outs across all geographical areas. The Company operates out of the following 6 main depots in Gloucestershire and West Oxfordshire: 1) Swindon Road, Cheltenham, GL51 9JZ; 2) Broadway Lane, South Cerney, GL7 5UJ; 3) Downs Road, Witney, OX29 0SZ; 4) Station Lane, Witney, OX28 4XZ; 5) Gossington, Cam, Dursley, GL11 5JA; 6) Swan Lane, Lydney, Gloucestershire, GL15 5RU. The Company also runs the Gloucestershire County Council Household Waste Recycling Centres at the following locations: — Sudmeadow, Hempsted, Hempsted Lane, Gloucester GL2 5FR, — Wingmoor Farm, Stoke Orchard Road, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham GL52 7RS, — Pyke Quarry, The Street, Horsley, Nailswoth GL6 0QA, — Oak Quarry, Broadwell, Coleford GL16 7EG, — Fosse Cross, Cirencester, GL54 4N. The Company’s normal working hours are as follows: — Monday-Friday: 5.30 a.m.-6 p.m., — Saturday: 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
