Tender description
To establish the depth, scale and coverage of financial, physical and environmental data already collected, that could be provided to Defra. Objectives: (a) to establish the depth, scale and coverage of financial, physical and environmental information for farm businesses that is already collected and processed which could be provided to Defra for research and analysis purposes; (b) to establish the market value of obtaining such data. Defra would like to establish what financial, physical and environmental farm performance data is currently accessible in the market both in terms of specific data variables and farm characteristics (i.e. farm size, location and type of farm) which could potentially be shared with Defra (though clearly with the data owner’s permission). Following this EOI exercise, Defra will establish a picture of the depth, scale and coverage of what could be provided in the future, in order to decide whether this approach could be explored further.
