CCTV Maintenance and CCTV Installation Services for BCP Public Space

Tender description

BCP contract for the provision of CCTV maintenance services and minor CCTV installation works for a period of 5 years, with the option to extend the contract annually for a further 2 years. The Council currently has 575 cameras in operation in various locations across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. There are three primary monitoring centres located at Bournemouth Police station, Madeira Road (Lansdowne), Christchurch Civic Centre and Poole Civic Centre. It is anticipated that they will merge into one monitoring centre during the period of this contract. There are secondary monitoring centres located in Avenue Road car park, Bournemouth, Kingland Road car park, Poole, Highways UTC located at the Town Hall Annexe, Bournemouth. Highways UTC located at the Civic Centre Poole and the lifting bridge at Poole. The equipment for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are listed in Appendices 2 – 4 of the tender documents. The transmission links in Bournemouth and Poole are fibre optic, mainly owned by BCP Council but with some leased from British Telecom. There are also a number COFDM cameras and mobile cameras which use 4G for transmission. The Christchurch system is wireless IP. With the exception of Madeira Road Car Park the Bournemouth system is HD IP whereas Poole and Christchurch are analogue systems.
