NWL154 Strategic Growth Options and Constraints Mapping Study

<p>North West Leicestershire District Council in partnership with the Leicester and Leicestershire Local Planning Authorities (LPA) and the Leicester &amp; Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) are seeking to procure consultancy services to prepare a study to better understand the potential for &lsquo;Strategic Growth Options&rsquo; to deliver growth across Leicester &amp; Leicestershire in order to collectively deliver long term growth and meet the aspirations of the Leicester &amp; Leicestershire Strategic Growth Plan (SGP). The study should provide evidence by assessing the merits and constraints of individual Strategic Growth Options. It should also assess the ability of Strategic Growth Options to individually or collectively meet wider strategic aspirations identified in the SGP and other strategies towards the delivery of growth in &lsquo;corridors&rsquo; and &lsquo;nodes&rsquo; (including HS2 corridor, A5 corridor and East Midlands Gateway).The study will also help to identify, coordinate and assist the delivery of infrastructure necessary to support this growth (including any transport, social, utilities and green infrastructure). The study will play a key role in assessing the ability of Strategic Growth Options to contribute to overall housing and employment land needs.</p> Keywords: Study, Strategic Growth, Housing, Transport, Economic Impact
