Tender description
The Cyberknife linear accelerator in Sutton and the associated computer hardware and software (for treatment planning) is supplied by Accuray. The service and corrective maintenance of this system must be provided by Accuray as the proprietary equipment and replacement parts are only available from this company, and any warranties would be invalidated and safety compromised if attempted servicing were outsourced. No replacement parts from any other company is compatible or valid for this purpose. Procurement cannot run compliant process as only Accuray can provide the necessary pre-configured proprietary equipment,servicing and corrective maintenance to the Cyberknife and associated planning system. No replacement parts or servicing from any other company is compatible or valid for this purpose.
