Tender description
The Cluster for Epigenomics and Antibody drug conjugate (ADC) Therapeutics (CEAT) is a GBP 2.6m project, led by the Reproductive Biology and Gynaecological Oncology (RBGO) group at Swansea University Medical School and is aimed at developing new therapeutics for the treatment of ovarian cancer. The CEAT project receives external funding from WEFO and Smart Expertise. A key output of the CEAT project is to establish a developmental pipeline for clinically acceptable monovalent ADCs. As part of this output, four distinctive protein biomarkers have been identified as primary ADC targets. The project therefore require the hybridoma development of four antibodies raised against these targets. Moreover, it is essential that we receive sequence optimisation prior to antibody production to ensure we obtain successful antibody-target compatibility. Following hybridoma development we will also require in-life antibody localisation studies to confer antibody binding is restricted to tumoral compartments of the target organ. This service is to be carried out at the supplier organisation and resulting products and research outputs are to be received by the RBGO group at Swansea University Singleton Campus. The aim is to appoint a contract to start in February 2021 with a duration of 6-9 months.
