Tender description
Birmingham City Council (the Council) wishes to invite potential suppliers to express an interest in the provision of a Homeless Transition Worker Service. Birmingham City Council is seeking bids for local delivery of a Homeless Transition Worker service as part of the Vulnerable Adults Housing and Wellbeing Support Service. The aim of this commissioning activity is to provide targeted support at crucial points of transition to aid engagement and the sustaining of accommodation. In-particular this reflects the transition from City Council and Commissioned Housing Option Centres and HUBs, into accommodation that is without commissioned support. This commissioning also reflects heightened demands brought on by the COVID-19 Emergency situation. Overall the objective is to enable vulnerable adults to live healthy, happy independent lives within communities. The service will provide 5 Transition Support Workers to operate on a city-wide basis as required. These are in 2 Lots; Lot 1 for work with Young People 16-25, having 2 workers; maximum value £71,666 Lot 2 for work with adults aged 25+, having 3 workers; maximum value £107,449 The proposed duration of the contracts is for a term of 1 year commencing 5th October 2020. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
