A CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED - Original text read as follows: Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) is the arm of Scotland’s enterprise agencies that supports company growth through collaborative and inclusive business models. One of CDS’s activity strands is to support the development of the community co-operative model. In order to support this, Scottish Enterprise is commissioning a Framework Agreement with one supplier organisation to deliver activities such as awareness raising, and advising community groups on co-operative models, legal structures, governance, management, funding and other issues for the new community entity, as well as supporting the formation of an appropriate community legal entity. Community owned businesses are businesses which trade primarily for the benefit of their community: they are controlled by the community themselves, they have open and voluntary membership and encourage people to get involved – either by becoming a member, or by volunteering time or getting involved in another way. They are businesses which are accountable to their community and the profits they generate deliver positive local impact. In order to support this element of their remit, CDS wish to put in place a framework with one supplier organisation, that enables access to support activities such as awareness raising (attendance at events, workshop delivery, training, etc), client-facing support (frontline advisory) and advice and support to other organisations (around policy matters, template documentation, etc
