Tender description

The Innovate UK Global Expert Mission on Healthy Ageing to China in March 2019 identified an opportunity to take an ecosystem-level approach to delivering an innovation programme that will support ageing people to live independently and safely in a community. Focussing on applied research and development, at high Technology Readiness levels (TRLs) of 7 and above, the concept is to demonstrate the applicability of a technology-driven, holistic, ecosystem-level approach that supports ageing people to live independently and safely in a community. This approach includes technology and service innovation. Product development and TRLs will be optimised through exposure to, and testing by, the existing established Voice® community in the UK and the developing representative citizen network in China. The demonstrator area, as a live and population representative testbed, will support product commercialisation. The project aims to develop a replicable model for delivering these services, offering potential sustainability for both UK and Chinese businesses. The project is three years in duration and runs from 1 November 2020 to 1 November 2023. The requirement is to provide ongoing advice and guidance as appropriate to the project delivery/management team and to work with NICA and IUK to co-develop and formalise the underpinning rationale for the programme (Theory of Change, Logic Model) and relevant success metrics with subsequent evaluation.
Keywords: Non EU, Tender
