Tender description

EirGrid require a company for the provision of Tariff Review Consultancy services. Transmission Use of System (TUoS) tariffs are designed to recover the total costs associated with the transmission business. The revenue collected from TUoS is used to cover the cost of operation, planning and development of the transmission network. Transmission Loss Adjustment Factors (TLAFs) are applied to allocate transmission losses to market participants that reflect their contribution to transmission losses. In light of the current and future trends on the transmission system, it is prudent to review the current structure of tariffs (TUoS and TLAFs) to ensure they are fit for purpose. EirGrid and SONI wish to gather information and understanding of tariff design, of particular relevance to IE/NI, in preparation for the forthcoming tariff review. See attached RFP for full details
