Tender description

A contract has been awarded for phase 6 of the Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLA) programme. The OTLA programme draws together the Education and Training Foundation’s activity to support practitioners to improve and develop their practice. The 2 aims of the OTLA programme include to: 1) Improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment in the FE and training sector; and 2) Supporting increased professionalism for practitioners in the sector. OTLA is underpinned by the professional standards and is made up of 4 different strands: collaborative projects; professional exchanges; support, training and resources; and practitioner research programme. This tender related to delivery of work in the collaborative projects strand. The Education and Training Foundation has appointed a tenderer to deliver phase 6 of the Outstanding, Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLA) Programme. OTLA phase 6 supports the improvement of English teaching, learning and assessment. The collaborative projects explore how practitioners can better develop learner’s literacy, reading and writing skills through their teaching or training practice. This will be through: 1) Innovative approaches, including using formative assessment and tracking data to enhance learner progress; 2) Programme planning and differentiation for mixed ability groups. Collaborative projects will be undertaken in a range of subject areas, including explicit English delivery or for English practitioners to work with those in other subject areas.
