Tender description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) through its wholly owned energy company, B&D Energy Ltd will be procuring works contracts for the construction of: Lot 1: a Barking Town Centre (BTC) wide district heating network (DHN) extending over 2 km in route length around BTC connecting over 15 sites. The extent of this lot will include the heat network and thermal substations; Lot 2: a new Strategic Energy Centre (SEC) to supply heat into the DHN which will contain gas fired CHP (at least 3 MWe), boilers (in excess of 25 MW) and thermal stores (at least 200 m3). The Council invites suitably qualified contractors to attend a market engagement event which will be held between 1.00 and 3 p.m. on 25.2.2020 at The Council Chamber, Barking Town Hall Barking, IG11 7LU.
