Construction, foundation and surface works for highways, roads

Tender description

In accordance with its asset management policy statement and quality policy statement, Leicestershire County Council (the Employer) is seeking to identify and appoint up to 4 contractors to a framework contract to undertake carriageway surfacing and resurfacing and associated works to all classes of roads within the Employers administrative area (as outlined in the LCC County District Map). The framework contract will initially be awarded for a period of 2 years. However, the Employer, may offer up to two discretionary contract extensions, subject to satisfactory past and on-going performance. Each contract extension offered will be limited to 12 months. The maximum contract duration, including extensions, will be limited to 48 months. Work through the framework contract cannot be guaranteed and will depend on the Employers operational budgets. However, it is anticipated that the annual spend through the framework contract will not exceed 3 000 000 GBP.
