Supply & installation of a decanting centrifuge

Tender description

The Wales Centre of Excellence for Anaerobic Digestion, based at the University of South Wales is seeking to procure a lab scale decanter centrifuge for continuous separation of solid and liquid phases in the output of a 100l scale bioreactor. The decanter centrifuge will allow upgrading of our 100L scale anaerobic digesters to cope with high solids content wastes (Such as food waste, sewage, and crop residues) separating it into liquid and solids streams for advanced bioconversion into high value products. This will allow a greater applicability of USW research to 'real world' waste streams. The unit must be able to fit in a 2m by 1m footprint, or as close as possible and must also be able to be controlled and ideally monitored via ananlog or simple TTL control signals sent and received by third party control hardware. The bioreactor contains materials with solids contents of at least 4%.
