Delt Shared Services is acting on behalf of Plymouth City Council as their support services provider. Plymouth City Council, via the Marine Business Technology Centre (MBTC) and in partnership with Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), has secured funding to support the procurement and installation of an advanced communications system across the Smart Sound Plymouth marine testing and proving ground. The proving area offers a range of marine environmental conditions from comparative shelter to offshore hostile marine environments. To further facilitate the operation of remotely operated and autonomous vessels and enhance the ability to conduct marine research there is a requirement to deliver reliable high-speed communications to a diverse array of assets and platforms using the Smart Sound facility.
