Procurement of a framework of, primarily, solicitors’ firms that can be used on a call-off basis to provide external legal advice to support the Council, Council owned entities and potentially other clients in the south west region to deliver their priorities. Services required will include: — state aid, — competition, — financing, — tax, — complex procurement and contracts, — charging and trading, — Corporate law, — insolvency, — aviation and maritime, — energy, — trusts and charities, — intellectual property, — general employment advice, — equal pay and other equality issues, — redundancy, — TUPE. Services required will include: — general property advice; — conveyancing (commercial and residential, including right to buys); — landlord and tenant (commercial and residential); — public enquiries; — development control (enforcement, planning obligations, general advice, etc.); — advising upon development agreements; — all non-contentious planning; — compulsory purchase orders and other property, planning or highway related orders; — statutory highway agreements and related procedures. Services to include: — civil court proceedings, — judicial review, — mediation, ADR, etc. Services include: — licensing, — enforcement activity, — prosecutions, — defence proceedings, — mediation, ADR, etc. Services include: — care proceedings, — adoption, — general education advice, — admissions, exclusions and related procedures. Services include: — domiciliary care, — mental health advice and proceedings, — health, — accommodation and welfare services.
