Tender description
Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking tenders from service providers who wish to provide ad-hoc transport services. Ad-hoc transport is defined as short-term or emergency transport for single journeys or repeated journeys lasting generally not more than 6 weeks which can be cancelled at any time. Vehicles of various capacities will be required, minimum 4 seats and upwards, and in accordance with current Public Service Vehicle (PSV) legislation, private hire or hackney carriage legislation or under Section 19 or 22 Permit (as appropriate) if the provider’s use of such a permit is compliant with all applicable legal requirements. Transport is required for a variety of users including vulnerable adults and young people, those with special needs, disabilities and/or social care/health requirements, council staff and members. The transport operates generally, but not exclusively, within Nottinghamshire, and may extend to other locations within the UK. The specific requirements are co-ordinated by Nottinghamshire Transport and Travel Services (TTS). Bookings under this framework will be awarded on the basis of 100 % price. Journeys over 6 weeks will be contracted for via mini competitions utilising the Councils Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of transport services. DN 293003.
