Tender description

Sheffield Archives and Local Studies Library collects, preserves and makes available information from the 12th Century to the present. Sheffield Archive’s collections of unique documentary information are recognised as outstanding national and international importance, are irreplaceable and have a high monetary value. Some of the collections are stored on behalf of the nation under HM Government’s Acceptance in Lieu (AIL) Scheme. The archive premises are recognised by the Lord Chancellor as an approved Place of Deposit for Public Records. Sheffield City Council is seeking a provider who is able to provide an Archive Storage service for approx. 25% of the service’s collections along with a Retrieval facility.
