Tender description
TfL is seeking ideas from innovators on how we can make better use of our station car parks. We are welcoming concepts which would enable the more diverse use of these sites and particularly, those which would support local economic recovery and deliver a greener, cleaner and healthier London. We currently provide parking at 79 London underground, overground and TfL Rail stations. These support access to our services and generate important revenue to reinvest in improving our transport network. The majority of sites (61) are in outer London, with another 17 beyond the London boundary. Our focus here is to explore innovative methods to re-purpose the use of some of our car parking estate, by considering new concepts that support the objectives listed below. These could extend to uses that go well beyond the car-related role of sites (we have for example seen ideas around logistics, community hubs, neighbourhood kitchens, urban farms, etc). We are interested in your creative, commercially viable ideas. If this PIN is applicable to you and you wish to find out more details, TfL is welcome interested innovators to participate in a market sounding questionnaire. To receive this please contact ChristopherStylianou@tfl.gov.uk. The deadline for market sounding questionnaire responses is 2 p.m. GMT on 4 December 2020. Note: this PIN is separate from an upcoming opportunity regarding the retendering of TfL’s existing car park maintenance contracts. This PIN falls under the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 and is not a call for competition. TfL is seeking ideas from innovators on how we can make better use of our station car parks.
