Tender description
The provision of business support coaching and mentoring to (aspiring) entrepreneurs and SME's in the Marches area. Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Bidders can bid for lot 1 and/or lot 2. Both lots will be evaluated separately. This lot 1 is being awarded by Telford and Wrekin Council on behalf of both Shropshire Council and Telford and Wrekin Council and will operate across the Marches area from 1 November 2020 to 31 December 2022 with outputs being recorded and delivered for ERDF until 28 February 2023. The award is to deliver coaching and mentoring support to aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups and established/growing businesses. Support may include one to one support, workshops, virtual training sessions, etc. The successful tenderer will develop and deliver the service. The contract value is GBP 255 500. The contract is part-funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The contract will provide business support to entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and operate under the de-minimus state aid regulation. Further information regarding the reporting requirements attached to this are included in the specification in the Invitation to Tender. Providers will be expected to demonstrate relevant expertise and experience of providing business support to SME’s in rural and urban areas. The contract is part funded by the European Development Fund (ERDF) and the support provided will operate under the de-minimis state aid regulation. Social value is one of the key themes of the Local Government National Procurement Strategy and the public sector must consider it as part of a procurement exercise. Questions regarding social value are included as part of the award criteria for lot 1. Lot 1 also requires use of the social value Portal’s National TOMs calculator. Further details are provided in the Invitation to Tender.
