Tender description

NHS England and NHS Improvement – West Midlands (referred to as the Commissioner) is inviting providers to express interest in delivering Out of Hours urgent dental care services for Lot 1 — Birmingham and Lot 2 — Hereford. As a result of this procurement exercise a contract will be established with the successful bidder(s) for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year. The successful provider is expected to be fully operational, providing services from 1 April 2021. Lot 1 is for Birmingham. The services are required to be open at weekends (Saturday and, Sunday) and Bank Holidays for a minimum of five hours per day (with a decontamination process to follow clinical face to face hours). The total indicative number of sessions for this Lot is 112, with estimated patient contact numbers between 5 040 and 6 720. TUPE is applicable and Bidders are required to take their own advice on whether TUPE or COSOP will apply to this Lot they and their specific submitted bid. Lot 2 is for Hereford. The services are required to be open at weekends (Saturday and, Sunday) and Bank Holidays for a minimum of five hours per day (with a decontamination process to follow clinical face to face hours). The total indicative number of sessions for this Lot is 112, with estimated patient contact numbers between 1 680 and 2 240.
