Tender description
The West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust (WHHT, the Trust) provides acute healthcare services to a core catchment population of approximately half a million people living in west Hertfordshire and the surrounding area. The Trust also provides a range of more specialist services to a wider population, serving residents of North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and East Hertfordshire. As an employer of almost 5 000 people the Trust is one of the biggest employers in the area and sees nearly a million patients each year. The Trust is seeking accommodation provision for 28 medical students on placement at Watford General Hospital on an annual contract. Co-location with hospital premises is a requirement of the contract. For full details of Bedroom, Bathroom and Kitchen requirements please refer to section B and C in HSC (2000) 036. The Trust’s Service Level Agreement with UCL also requires the provision of fast broadband within the student accommodation to allow for private study and will be a key requirement of this contract. The accommodation will require a weekly clean of the communal areas.
