Supplier is a technology company that delivers cost-efficient and highly accurate variant calls across the whole genome from low-pass sequencing. They have developed a unique cloud based imputation and analysis software that transforms very low-coverage sequencing reads into over 99% accurate variant calls across the whole genome. For the purpose of our projects they have brokered a low-pass sequencing provision with one of their sequencing partners to generate data on our 4,500 chickens. They will develop a bespoke haplotype-imputation library from our existing high depth sequence data and will return highly accurate variant calls based on the low-pass sequencing. Under Regulation Reg 6(1)(b)(ii) of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016, a contracting authority may award a contract without competition based on the following justification: 2.
