Tender description

Tenders are invited to manage the Survey of Ethnic Minorities and be responsible for the data collection, based on a questionnaire administered through an online platform. The tenderer will provide input on the design of the questionnaire. The questionnaire will be translated into a number of key priority languages. The expected sample size is approximately 16 000 respondents, 3 000 of which will be provided by the supplier. The tenderer will provide administrative support for recruitment. Sample management will be the responsibility of the tenderer. The Centre on Dynamics of Ethnicity (CoDE) is an ESRC funded research centre providing theoretically informed, empirically grounded and policy-relevant research on ethnic inequalities in the UK. The ESRC is now funding a new project within CoDE: exploring racial and ethnic inequality in a time of crisis. This research includes a new commissioned survey exploring the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the social and economic well-being of racial and ethnic minority people nationally. The collected data will inform evidence-based policies on a wide-range of topics including demographic information, health, education, racism, civic engagement, leisure activities and employment.
