Working Wales is a new programme designed to support people of all ages to overcome barriers and gain the skills to achieve and maintain good quality, sustainable employment. Working Wales is a new approach to delivering employability and skills support, designed to meet what individuals need to gain employment rather than fitting them into narrow programme eligibility criteria. Working Wales consolidates Welsh Government’s current suite of employability support (Jobs Growth Wales, ReAct, Traineeships and the Employability Skills Programme). Working Wales will support delivery of the Welsh Government’s Programme for Government, Taking Wales Forward commitment to reshape employability support for all individuals and forms an important part of the government’s forthcoming Employability Delivery Plan. The Working Wales Youth Engagement (WWYE) lot will support young people who are 16 or 17 on entry and who have been assessed as having significant or multiple barriers (hereafter referred to as barriers) preventing them from engaging sustainably in further education, employment; including an apprenticeship or training. Individuals will require more intensive, individualised and specialist support to allow them to progress and to become work-ready. The primary measure of success for WWYE is to secure positive outcomes for individuals by addressing the barriers that are preventing them from progressing into sustainable further education, employment; including an apprenticeship or training. WWYE aims to: — address individuals’ identified barriers that are preventing them from progressing into employment, further education or training; and — prepare and support individuals into further education, employment; including an apprenticeship or training. This lot is PAN Wales. The Working Wales Youth Training (WWYT) lot will support young people motivated to work but who need improved employability skills, a clearer career focus and better job-related skills. The primary measure of success for WWYT is securing positive outcomes for individuals in the form of sustained employment, including an apprenticeship further learning or training. WWYT aims to: — address individuals’ identified barriers that are preventing them from progressing into employment, further education or training; and — prepare and support individuals into employment, including an apprenticeship, or further education or training. The Working Wales Youth Training (WWYT) lot will support young people motivated to work but who need improved employability skills, a clearer career focus and better job-related skills. The primary measure of success for WWYT is securing positive outcomes for individuals in the form of sustained employment, including an apprenticeship further learning or training. WWYT aims to: — address individuals’ identified barriers that are preventing them from progressing into employment, further education or training; and — prepare and support individuals into employment, including an apprenticeship, or further education or training. North Wales Region. The Working Wales Adult (WWA) lot will support unemployed and economically inactive adults aged 18 and over to obtain employment. The lot aims to be responsive to individuals’ needs to ensure adults receive the right support to enter employment. The primary measure of success for WWA is securing sustainable employment including an apprenticeship or self-employment. WWA aims to: — provide tailored support for unemployed and economically inactive adults to find and retain employment; — be flexible and innovative to respond to the needs of individuals and recruiting employers; — focus on sustained job outcomes; — be responsive to changes in ministerial priorities or a change in the economic climate, for example large scale redundancy support. The Working Wales Adult (WWA) lot will support unemployed and economically inactive adults aged 18 and over to obtain employment.
