Tender description
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to undertake a degree of market engagement to inform their development and implementation of a low carbon energy network (heat and power) in the town centre. Further information can be found at www.csw-jets.co.uk Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to undertake a degree of market engagement to inform their development and implementation of a low carbon energy network (heat and power) in the town centre. The Council proposes to fund the project through a combination of public sector funding sources and is considering using competitive dialogue to identify one or more supplier(s) with the most economically advantageous tender, to work with the Council on design, implementation, delivery and operation. The first scheme likely to be progressed is the design, delivery and operation of Phase 1 of the town centre low carbon energy network, which has a delivered heat supply capacity of 14 megawatt hours per annum. It is anticipated that Phases 2 and 3 (with a total estimated heat supply capacity of 50 megawatt hours) will subsequently be developed and awarded via a suitable change protocol, but this will be subject to all necessary permissions, partner performance and the availability of funding or financing.
