Invest NI is Northern Ireland’s economic development agency. It is a non-departmental public body. The organisation consists of 8 offices throughout Northern Ireland and a further 8 offices located overseas. In addition, the organisation has locally engaged Invest NI staff in 13 countries throughout the world. Staff located overseas currently use landline based telephony services supplied on an ad hoc basis typically by a local telecom provider. Some of our international sites also use ISDN telephony based systems, which is due to be discontinued in the near future. At present overseas telephony solutions are locally based, making administration of these services complicated and administratively time consuming. The existing telephone infrastructure both in the overseas offices and amongst the locally engaged staff also has limitations in terms of features, functions, capacity, application and reliability, and users are often only provided with a telephone number and voicemail. For the above reasons, and due to the upcoming relocation and renovation of some overseas offices, Invest NI wishes to appoint a Contractor to replace the existing telephony systems in addition to providing a telephony solution for locally engaged overseas staff no matter where they are located.
