Tender description

Re-training the under-employed and long term returners to work the required skills they need to enter/re-enter the West Yorkshire labour market. The Leeds City Region (LCR) employment and skills plan identified three sectors within the region which are experiencing significant skills shortages — digital, engineering and manufacturing and construction and infrastructure. LCR is also becoming a major creative hub with flagship organisations like Burberry already located here and the addition of Channel 4 creative skills are at a premium. In order to respond to these challenges, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (CA) is currently delivering a GBP 3.14 million ESF project — (re)boot across the LCR. (re)boot offers individuals the chance to advance their skills, gaining employability and sector specific skills relating to key sectors. As part of the delivery of (re)boot the CA are seeking additional delivery partners to engage, upskill and re-skill individuals from across the whole City Region (excluding Barnsley) to support them to access opportunities available within these key sectors. Please note applications from consortia are encouraged, but suppliers cannot include any subcontracting arrangements. Current delivery partners on (re)boot are not eligible to tender for this opportunity.
