Attending a school breakfast club and eating a healthy breakfast can support improved attainment, behaviour, concentration and attendance, and provide a healthier start to the day for pupils. The Department is currently investigating options for the provision of food to school-run breakfast clubs. In pursuance of this, the Department is seeking information from suppliers in order to help inform the options available to the Department in regard to how healthy food supplies can be delivered to breakfast clubs in schools across England. The Department is therefore making available a questionnaire for interested suppliers to complete. Interested suppliers should email School.FOOD@education.gov.uk to request a copy of the questionnaire. The information received will support the Department in the development and review of future requirements which support schools in delivering breakfast provision.
