Tender description

Transport for London (TfL's) Dial-a-Ride (DaR) service is responsible for delivering a multi-occupancy door-to-door transportation service. The service is available to registered members living in London boroughs who are unable to access mainstream public transport. DaR are seeking to replace the current booking and scheduling system that is in place. The new solution is required to support the aspirations of the assisted transport services (ATS) roadmap, which aims to bring together customer access to multiple ATS options (including non-TfL systems, funders and suppliers) onto a single platform, to enable ATS customers to self-service access the most appropriate form of transport and sources of funding to meet their travel needs, whether or not they are directly operated by TfL. Some of the potential named third parties can be found in II.2.4). TfL also seeks to exploit advancements in technology, to generate efficiencies whilst maintaining service quality. It's hoped a new solution will improve operational efficiencies within DaR but continue to satisfy customer needs. These third parties include, but is not limited to, London Councils, TaxiCard and Hospital Trusts. Commercially, this process of integration will be managed via the contractual change control process. TfL also seeks to exploit advancements in technology, to generate efficiencies whilst maintaining service quality. It's hoped a new solution will improve operational efficiencies within DaR but continue to satisfy customer needs. Due to the potential integration projects with other ATS providers in London, the estimate value stated in this notice at GBP 12 000 000 is inclusive of any potential integration work during the course of the 8-year contract (as detailed in II.2.11), this contract has an initial 6-year term, with the option to extend for a further 2 years) as well as any additional, related services. For clarity, the estimated initial contractual spend over 8 years is GBP 4 400 000. This figure only includes the requirements for TfL ATS and does not consider the third parties who could potentially integrate with the solution. If third parties do utilise the solution, this additional spend could bring the total cost of this contract to GBP 12 000 000. Full details of the requirements can be found in the procurement documents, in particular Volume 4 of the documents, accessible via the project page in TfL’s eTendering portal ProContract: http://procontract.due-north.com/Home/About Full details of the award criteria can be found in the procurement documents, in particular Volume 2 of the documents, accessible via the project page in TfL’s eTendering portal ProContract: http://procontract.due-north.com/Home/About
