Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) is an associated office of the Department of Justice and Equality. The Chemistry Section, requires the supply and installation of a Benchtop Scanning Electron Microscope with EDS detector for automated gunshot residue analysis. An instrument with a small footprint that is modern, robust and user friendly is required. The system must be capable of running multiple samples in one run with easy, fast and consistent run setup. The system must also include a dedicated software interface capable of delivering automated gunshot residue particle detection, image acquisition, analysis and classification.
