Tender description

RTÉ are seeking companies who can supply weather services across broadcast (Television and Radio) and online platforms (web, applications, mobile). It will be necessary to provide meteorological data, data interpretation (including Broadcast quality graphics, scripts and forecasts), professional meteorology presentation staff and industry leading innovation in terms of forecasting techniques, forecast presentation and the provision of high quality, accurate and timely content for all platforms. The provision of Broadcast presentation services including data analysis and interpretation, forecasting, composition and provision of graphic slides for broadcast on Television and presentation on air by qualified meteorological personnel on Television and Radio. The provision of meteorological data for all platforms, including actual location, local, regional, short term (e.g. hour by hour) and long term visualizations detailing data such as precipitation, wind direction, wind speed, temperature, pollen count, UV index, surface conditions and sea conditions. The provision of broadcast quality graphics with the ability to design elements in accordance with RTE branding, including the potential for distribution across online platforms with in-line conventions.
