Tender description

Forestry England have a future event requirement, as a joint partnership collaboration, to design, plan and execute the production of a magical Christmas illuminated light trail experience in our forests. Forestry England have a future event requirement, as a joint partnership collaboration, to design, plan and execute the production of a magical Christmas illuminated light trail experience in our forests. This multi-night event would take place in December 2021 at one of our flagship forest destinations – Delamere Forest, near Northwich, Cheshire, CW8 2HZ. Event ticket holders would complete an approximate 1-mile trail around the forest, after dark. The visitor experience will be brought to life by inspirational lighting and production installations that stimulate a memorable sensory experience with appropriate festive touches. The event must be designed to appeal to a wide audience demographic, provide value for money, be family friendly and supply the necessary elements of a high-quality event experience in regard to entertainment, and facilities provided. We would be looking to secure a multiple year contract, with expansion ambitions that includes more than one site across our estate, subject to a successful year 1 pilot. We envisage this joint partnership collaboration as one both parties are fully invested in with the aim of delivering a high quality, memorable event experience that leaves a positive lasting impression on our customers. This partnership would be formed sharing both the risk and financial reward 50/50, with the scope to grow and expand over a lengthy contract duration. As our venues are working forests, with continued day time visitor use throughout, sensitivity to both our core audience, and our ecology is of significant importance. Forestry England are looking to carry out some pre-market engagement which will aid the scoping out of these requirements to ensure that the needs of the business will be met, and that the specification of requirements accurately reflects the offerings of the market place. As well as notifying the market place of this potential future opportunity, Forestry England is inviting any interested suppliers with a proven track record of delivering such events to express an interest in this requirement and to provide feedback on the feasibility of our emerging plans. This includes providing Forestry England with any advice suppliers can offer on setting the event budget, ticket projections and appropriate breakeven points.
