Core Valley Lines (CVL) Material Supply Framework for Railway Overhead Line electrification

This is a prior information notice (PIN) only: Publication and a call for competition will be conducted as and when the scope of work is fully defined and approved. TfW are looking for suitable suppliers to supply Steel Materials for the delivery of electrification and signalling project on our railway lines. The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. It is a requirement that each item within the lots has to be supplied with the opportunity to sub-contract sourcing of materials and will operate as a multi supplier framework. Lot 1: Main Part Steel (MPS) for Railway Overhead Line Electrification The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TfW are looking for suppliers who are able to supply the following items for Railway Overhead Line Electrification: - Main Part Steel (MPS) o Masts o Portal booms o Struts o Twin track cantilever (TTC) boom o Mast and boom brackets/attachments Please note there is a requirement to supply all materials within this lot with sub-contracting opportunities. It is anticipated that a maximum of 3 suppliers will be awarded to this lot. TfW reserves the right to amend the number of suppliers appointed. All materials will be required to comply with all relevant standards. Lot 2: Circular Hollow Section Piles (CHS) Materials for Railway Overhead Line Electrification The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TfW are looking for suppliers who are able to supply the following materials for Railway Overhead Electrification: Circular Hollow Section Piles (CHS) o CHS piles o Adapter plates o Associated studs, washers and nuts Please note all materials are to be supplied with the opportunity to sub-contract. It is anticipated that a maximum of 3 suppliers will be awarded to this lot. TfW reserves the right to amend. Compliance with all relevant standards will be required. Lot 3: Small Part Steel materials for Railway Overhead Line Electricfication The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TfW are looking for suppliers who are able to supply the following materials for Railway Overhead Line Electrification: - Small Part Steel (SPS) o Consumables e.g. nuts, bolts and washers o Brackets/attachment angles o Spider plates o Insulators o Bridge arms It is anticipated that this will be awarded as a multi supplier framework with a maximum of 3 suppliers. Please note TfW reserves the right to amend. All materials will be required to comply for relevant standards. Lot 4: Wire Products for Railway Overhead Line Electrification The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TFW are looking for suppliers who can provide the following materials for Railway Overhead Line Electrification: - Wire o Catenary o Contact o Droppers o Jumper o ATF o Earth o Bonding cable Please note all materials will need to be supplied with the opportunity to sub-contract. It is anticipated that a maximum of 3 suppliers will be awarded to this lot. TfW reserves the right to amend. All products will be required to comply with all relevant standards. Lot 5: Signalling Equipment for Railway Overhead Line Electricfication The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TfW are looking for suppliers who can supply Signalling equipment as part of the CVL electrification works. Parts included but not limited to Axle counters, Signals, Cabling All materials will be required to be supplied with the opportunity to sub-contract. It is anticipated that a maximum of 3 suppliers will be awarded TfW reserves the right to amend. All materials will be required to comply with relevant standards.
