Tender description

A multi lot tender using the competitive procedure with negotiation for transit packaging requirements for the Royal Mint. The Royal Mint are seeking opportunities to introduce greater aggregation across this category and consider new ways of doing business. This lot covers the supply of multiple lots of transit packaging as outlined in each of lots 1 to 9. This lot covers the provision of all wood packaging products to TRM which includes pallets and boxes. These are predominantly used for the packaging of coin blanks and circulating coin that we supply to the UK and countries across the world. This lot covers the provision of all corrugated cardboard packaging and air bags used across all areas of the TRM. This is a diverse portfolio ranging from the supply to individual customers for special commemorations in our consumer division to much larger transit packaging for national banks and governments across the world. This lot covers the provision of all steel drums to TRM. These are predominantly used for the packaging of coin blanks and circulating coin that we supply to the UK and countries across the world. This lot covers the provision of Plastic Woven and Hessian Liners to TRM. These are predominantly used for the packaging of coin blanks and circulating coin that we supply to the UK and countries across the world. This lot covers the provision of all Cotton Sacks to TRM. These are used for the packaging of coin blanks and circulating coin that we supply to particular international customers. This lot covers the provision of Silica Gel to TRM used within the packaging we send to our customers across the UK and the rest of the world. This lot covers the provision of printed ribbon to TRM used to print on sachets, plastic bags etc. This lot covers the provision of roll wrap paper to TRM that is used to securely wrap coins utilising a high speed coin wrapping machine from Laurel model number LAC-16 and LAC 17 that we have in place to automate this process. The paper currently from Orfix (other compatible papers are accepted) needs to be compatible with this and other coin wrapping machines. This lot covers the provision of banding equipment and strapping. It should be noted that we have a mix of banding equipment that is owned by TRM and rented from our existing supplier.
