Tender description

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is intending to procure an incubation support administrator and provider to help facilitate incubation support services for SME’s in the upcoming Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP). Incubation support focusses on identifying and filling skills gaps within companies that may prevent them from bringing innovations to market effectively, whilst also providing specialist advisors to support companies in the development of appropriate knowledge and skills. The contractor will be responsible for the administration and provision of bespoke incubation support services to BEIS funded companies. The service will provide support to companies working across a wide range of technology areas, as such it is expected that the service will offer up-to-date, technology-relevant expertise which will effectively inform and advise companies towards commercialisation. A supplier engagement day will be held in early-October. BEIS seeks a contractor to provide incubation support services to SME’s in the upcoming BEIS Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP), which will include many SMEs. To achieve value for money from these projects the provision of incubation support will be offered alongside their project deliverables, increasing the capability of companies to exploit and commercialise their specific technology. The contractor will be responsible for both the administration and provision of incubation support services. The contractor will be able to identify and fill skills gaps within companies that currently prevent them from bringing innovations to market efficiently. It is expected the contractor will be able to identify incubation advisors who have the expertise to provide bespoke and strategic support.
