Tender description

Removal of the existing slate finished, pitched roof coverings and complete recovering of all areas with reclaimed natural slate including a supplementary roofing felt. Joinery repairs and replacements to the roof construction will be carried out prior to recovering the roof slopes. All existing lead detailing forming valleys and box gutters will be stripped out and fully replaced. Original cast iron gutters and rainwater pipes will be replaced to each elevation. All flat roof coverings will be completely uplifted and replaced with a new Bauder Total flat roof system. Substantial asbestos removal works will be undertaken during these works to ensure a new timber deck is installed over the structural timber construction. To the external parapet walls, all copingstones will be re bedded and pointed. Further works include rebuilding a partially collapsed chimneystack, replacing all existing lead work and undertaking re pointing and flaunching works to other stacks
