Tender description

The contracting authority is about to commence its procurement for its major building works (works) contracts in line with the Contracting Authority’s approved procurement strategy. This PIN is issued solely for the purpose of seeking interested applicants to provide feedback to the questions raised in Survey Monkey as to its current position during the Covid-19 pandemic to be able to respond to tenders when this procurement process is commenced. This is not a call to competition. The Survey Monkey questionnaire is at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Southwark_MajorWorks_MktSounding The closing date for completing the questionnaire is 17.00 on Friday 25 September 2020 The contracting authority intends to procure 4 major building works (works) contracts. The works to be delivered under these contracts typically comprise of new build council homes, roof to homes, internal and external refurbishment works to existing buildings, fire safety improvements (part of major refurbishment), mechanical installations and upgrades (including heating, hot water, lifts and door entry systems), electrical installations and upgrades and external works to estate paths, roads, hard landscaping, fences, walls and outbuildings. The Works will be delivered under four contract areas: Area 1 – Borough and Bankside and Walworth; Area 2 - Bermondsey and Rotherhithe; Area 3 — Camberwell and Peckham; and Area 4 — Nunhead, Peckham Rye and Dulwich.
