Provision of Scotland’s Saltmarsh as a Blue Carbon Resource

Field work will be conducted at various locations in Scotland, results analyses in a lab, and report written from the contractors offices. 11. This research would look to obtain a series of cores for reliable and robust analyses from four main sites with significant areas of saltmarsh: - Solway Firth, - Firth of Forth, - Firth of Tay and - Dornoch Firth/Loch Fleet. 12. At each site, permanent transects would be established with precise GPS locations recorded for each sampling point moving up the shore from the adjacent intertidal mud through the pioneer saltmarsh to the high marsh and beyond.
