Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from organisations who might be able to provide services that meet RMBC’s current requirement for the treatment of condensation and mould growth in its housing stock, and to provide advice on lifestyle issues that may be contributing to the development of condensation and/or mould. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is inviting bids from organisations that may be able to provide services that meet the Council’s current needs for the treatment of condensation and mould growth in its housing stock in the Rotherham area and to provide advice on lifestyle issues that may be contributing to the development of condensation and/or mould. The successful provider will identify condensation and mould problems in domestic properties (bungalows, three storey flats, semi-detached dwellings, etc.) throughout the Rotherham Borough. They will provide detailed reports of findings, recommendations and a quotation for the required works. The provider will also liaise with tenants to arrange surveys (approximately 400 per year however this is expected to increase with the introduction of Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018). The Council is committed to a performance and evidence-based approach to social value and has partnered with the social value portal (SVP) to assist in the delivery of this. Based on the National TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) developed by the SVP, bidders are required to propose credible targets against which performance (for the successful bidder) will be monitored.
