Tender description

The Royal Mint currently utilise the services of 2 suppliers to provide its MRO requirements one covering specific maintenance and repair requirements and the other covering the supply of spares, consumables and repairs. Since the establishment of these contracts the scope covered by each has developed in a manner that has led to an unclear structure of the services undertaken. We are now seeking to better define the services we require and are utilising the competitive procedure with negotiation to ensure that the tender process delivers a solution that meets our requirements now and into the future. We intend to enter into a contract with one supplier to deliver all of our MRO services and that supplier must be able to deliver all the services outlined in the minimum requirements. The scope of services included in this requirement is as follows: 1) Asset management, repairs and associated vendor management that includes: (a) repairs programme; (b) VMI management; (c) Vendor Management; (d) Third party MRO; (e) Monthly reporting; (f) SLA/KPI dashboard management; (g) Contractor services management; and (h) Project support. 2) Provision of operational spares, consumables and associated services including repairs which includes the following services: (a) Provision of management information and reporting; (b) Supplier rationalisation; (c) Conversion of OEM parts; (d) Parts substitution; (e) Product and brand rationalisation; (f) Inventory profiling; (g) Vending and consignment stock; (h) Undertake operational cost saving initiatives; (i) Product application advice; (j) Product failure analysis; and (k) Specialist workshop repair and engineering services.
