Tender description

FA1423 will cover the supply, delivery, installation and disposal of waste water filter media across the Thames Water and Alliance requirements. The filter media is part of the percolating filter systems and the FA will cover complete refurbishment of the filter and top-ups of the filter media at TW’s STW. Media used is either Air-cooled Blast Furnace Slag or plastic media, depending on the sites' consent levels. Description of the procurement: FA1423 will cover the supply, delivery, installation and disposal of waste water filter media and filter refurbishment across the Thames Water and Alliance requirements. Air-cooled Blast Furnace Slag. Refurbishment activities include work with the filter arms, the existing filter media, Washing and grading existing material, ventilation pipework, clean down filter floor, flush existing drainage, new pre-cast concrete filter drainage tiles, repair minor wall cracks, new UPVC vent pipes and cowls. We are looking to award this lot to 2 or 3 suppliers and awaiting work on a mini competition basis.
