Tender description
Brent Council has an exciting opportunity as they seek to commission a new Technology Enabled Care (TEC) provider to support the promotion of independence and wellbeing mantra; strength based approach and closer working with Brent Clinical Commissioning Group. The TEC industry has seen a number of advances, particularly since the start of the pandemic. Brent are keen to build on national and local knowledge and the change in the way people access services going forward. Integrating TEC into key core pathways, (e.g. hospital discharges, wellbeing, etc.) is a strategic objective. Another key driver is the switch from analogue to digital. The aim of the TEC service will be to deliver innovative TEC equipment, services and support to our social care and health service users, as well as to the residents of Brent. The provider will also be responsible for monitoring the TEC offer and utilising the data and intelligence gathered to develop the service further and learn patterns, behaviours, etc. with a view to promoting independence and wellbeing. The provider will be responsible for responding to where alarms are triggered, for example pendent alarms, falls detectors, etc. The total budget for the whole contract period of 3 years will be up to GBP 1.09 million. The duration of the contract will be for an initial period of 2 years, with an option to extend for 1 year. The estimated commencement of the services will be 1 April 2021. The session will provide an opportunity for providers to input into the future service model and hear about our local commissioning expectations of our Technology Enabled Care service specification. This online market engagement event for providers will be held on 17 September 2020 1400-1530. We are also publishing an online questionnaire for completion to gauge the views of the market. The market engagement event will be held via Microsoft Teams. Please register to join us online at the market engagement event if you are interested in receiving an invite for this event.
