Tender description

DWP is considering a provision to offer a service for recently unemployed people who may not need significant help with the job search, but would benefit from a short package of tailored support to help them become familiar with current recruitment practices and understand sector specific approaches. The potential provision would cover Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). DWP will host targeted market engagement events via Skype on 18 August 11.00-12.00 and 19 August 14.00-15.00 to discuss this with potential suppliers. The aim of the provision would be to provide a service improving the participant’s understanding and ability of how to apply for employment opportunities, improving the likelihood of securing sustainable paid employment. Potential participants will be referred by Jobcentre Plus on a voluntary basis. DWP is considering a personalised support offer, tailored to individual participants’ needs, where the participant receives tailored support to enable them to develop a personalised CV and action plan for job finding. As appropriate to the needs of the participant, the service offered potentially would include but not be limited to: A mock interview; A digital online group session; Help to identify their transferable skills; Sector specific job advice (particularly the 5 growth sectors of health and social care, construction, digital and technology, engineering and manufacturing); Job matching to suitable vacancies and advice/links about suitable employers.
