Tender description

Ceiling track hoists are 1 of the solutions provided by the Council to enable a safe means of supportive lifting and moving for disabled people. This contract will be for the supply, installation, removal, refurbishment and storage and associated servicing and maintenance (whilst under warranty) of ceiling track hoists. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is a SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender. 1) Provision of new ceiling track hoists; 2) Provision of warranty to accompany new and refurbished ceiling track hoists; 3) Removal of any redundant ceiling track hoists which are under the contractor’s warranty; 4) Refurbishment and storage of any ceiling track hoists which are under the contractor’s warranty; 5) Re-installation of any refurbished ceiling track hoists which are under the contractor’s warranty; 6) Planned servicing of ceiling track hoists which are under the contractor’s warranty; 7) Unplanned repairs and maintenance of ceiling track hoists which are under the contractor’s warranty; 8) Decommissioning of ceiling track hoists that have reached the end of their useful life. To be specified by the Council at the point of order. The values given in this notice are only estimations and are for the initial contract period of 3 years and take into account the option to extend for up to a further 12 months. The authority gives no guarantee or warranty or makes any representation as to the accuracy of any indicative volumes or as to the value of the work during the contract period.
