Early Contractor Involvement: Please email paula.acton@sellafieldsites.com to express an interest. Morgan Sindall are looking to undertake early contractor Involvement regarding the fabrication/design and manufacture of the Universal Shield Blocks required to be utilized in the storage vault (specification documents provided) to mitigate dose from the packages. This is a pre-cast concrete block but also contains key stainless structural elements - the extent of which is to be determined by the supply chain. Scope: Looking to leverage the expertise of the supply chain with their design, manufacture and manufacturing knowledge to understand the most appropriate way of delivering the USB’s to meet dimensional and tolerance requirements as articulated within the specification documents. A full ITT will follow at a later date.
