Facilitating Local Natural Capital Investment

To develop and test an approach that could be used in Scotland to facilitate investment in natural capital at the local level, especially from the private sector. This will be achieved by bringing together appropriate financial and natural capital expertise with local stakeholder knowledge and priorities, building on domestic and international experience, in order to: – develop a model and methodologies, suitable for Scottish contexts, to facilitate financing of nature-based solutions; – build knowledge, understanding, experience and confidence in Scotland; and – demonstrate the practical delivery of this approach, including the structures and skills needed.
