Blood Production and tracking covers a range of activities that exist within Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) that provide safe and effective blood donation and transfusion services whilst compliant to stringent regulatory guidelines. Services include donation management, sessions and clinics, blood testing and production, supply and distribution and finally patient Transfusion. Business Service Organisation – Information Technology Services (BSO ITS), in collaboration with Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service and Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts, is exploring options for implementing a solution applicable to the provision of a Blood Production and Tracking (BPaT) service provided by or on behalf of HSC Trusts across NI, to enable the digital modernisation of its existing and aging systems.
